Hey there! I’m so glad you’re here!
My name is Amber LaBau, and I have a confession to make. I’ve never made a single scrapbook page. Not once. Never.
Paper scrapbooking, that is…
I first found digital shortly after my oldest was born in 2008, and although I’d spent a college-student-fortune on paper supplies to scrap my wedding photos, I never had the guts to start. I was too afraid of ruining things, or not living up to the gorgeous pages my friends and family made. So when the news came that I could do it all on my computer and could re-do and undo and change as much as a I wanted, I was hooked! I freebie hunted and played around for a few weeks before deciding designing is where my heart really was, and the rest is history..
But enough about scrapbooking, you came here to learn about me! I grew up in a small town in northern Utah, and am currently living about 2 hours south of Chicago after a recent job change for my husband. I’ve been married for almost 11 years and have two glorious and terrible (and everything in between and all at once) boys to show for it.
Before landing the mommy job I worked as an actor and arts administrator and loved every moment of it. When I’m not designing or scrapping I enjoy spending time with my family on long bike rides through the neighborhood, playing board games, reading Harry Potter and pretending to be a master gardener. I have a passion for color and pattern, for learning new things and working with incredibly talented people. How fortunate for me that I am blessed to do all of those things, all while documenting our lives each and every day.
I’m so glad you’re with me for this ride..
